Children

Happy Mother’s Day to all the women who are mothers, grandmothers, aunts, godmothers, and anyone else who plays such an important role in the lives of our children!

Harvest Sunday will next take place on May 3rd.  Let try to fill the shelves at St. Mary’s Food Pantry as the school year is winding down!

Now that spring sports have begun, we understand that many children are involved in various activities, but we hope that you will bring them to Sunday School whenever possible.

The children collected $154.50 to fill their Lenten boxes this year.  That money will be used to purchase animals from the ELCA catalog to help our friends around the world.  Thanks for a job well done!  If anyone still wants to submit their box, please bring it to Sunday school and it will be added to the total.

As is the annual custom, the children will be planting flowers for significant women in their lives on Mother’s Day, May 10th so we hope to see everyone that day.

Sunday School will not be in session on Sunday, May 24th (Memorial Day weekend) but please attend church as a family.

The annual Sunday School Awards will be held on June 14th at which time those eligible will receive his/her attendance award pin and certificate.  Popsicles will be enjoyed by all following the service.

If you have a child who will be 3 years old in September, please contact me so we can enroll him/her in Sunday School for next year.

As always, we welcome anyone who would like to teach or help with Sunday School, do a special lesson or craft with the children, or assist in any way.  Please reach out to me with any questions at epting.susan@gmail.com or via cell at 914-715-9546.

We look forward to seeing everyone in Sunday School each week!

God Bless,

Sue Epting, Sunday School Coordinator
